Nordic traceable leather

In collaboration with Danish innovators Nordic SPOOR, we present three bespoke leathers, each chosen for its refined look, luxurious feel and exceptional quality. Nordic quality: Our Nordic SPOOR leather originates from Denmark and Sweden., known for high levels of animal welfare. “Through our traceability system back to Danish or Swedish farms, we know that the animals have enjoyed Scandinavian animal welfare standards”, says Birgitte Holgaard Langer, Business Development Director at SPOOR. Innovative tanning technology: Our bespoke leathers are tanned using the innovative ‘SPOOR X’ process – free from chrome and heavy metals. “This enables our new leather to be biodegrade and compost by end of life”, says Collection and Visuals Director Ditlev-Jensen. Traceability and transparency: All SPOOR leather is a by-product of the food industry. “Hides used for SPOOR leather are upcycled to high-quality leather”, says Holgaard Langer. SPOOR leather is fully traceable, right back to the animal and farm. “We never source our hides through middlemen since traceability is then lost”, explains Holgaard Langer. “Once we receive the hides at our Tannery in Southern Funen in Denmark, we laser print a unique reference onto the hide, connecting all the relevant data in our system.” This ensures complete transparency throughout the value chain, backed by documentation, and guarantees responsible sourcing of our leather.
